You find more information to the topic –Requirements for heliskiing- here: Requirements for Heliskiing and Heli Boarding

Why should I book with Heliguides?

Good reasons for Heli Guides

We are specialized in heliskiing, trust on our own helicopters, own guides and are familiar with the region. Therefore, we offer a maximum level of flexibility and individuality. Our destinations in the Alps are easy to reach and offer plenty of powder fun for individual travelers or small groups, an incredible variety of areas, unique accommodation and culinary highlights.

How safe is Heli skiing?

Safety and experience

The health and well-being of our customers has the utmost importance during our heliskiing and skiing trips. Our pilots have many years of experience.
The specifically established helicopter service,  GMH Helicopter Service S.R.L., includes own machines. Independence from others is therefore one of our biggest advantages. The heli teams contribute expertise and flight competence from decade-long experience.

Heli skiing starts at 250 Euro

We have a huge program and lots of travel destinations. It depends on the region where and how often the helicopter starts. Necessary costs for accommodation, ski pass, material and safety equipment are partially included in our program. At the main destinations in the alps we offer different one-day to multi-day events.  In Monte Rosa in Gressoney, our event “My first heliski day” starts with 250 Euro per Person. The Special in Sondrio, Italy includes 20 flights, 5 days and a nice ****hotel begins at 3550 Euro.

What should I have to consider doing Heli skiing or Heli Boarding?

Attentions for heli skiing

You should always practice this winter sport accompanied by a trained mountain and ski guide. It benefits from its local knowledge and experience with weather and snow conditions. An advantage is the journey in small groups. Here the ski guide can pay attention to the participants. In addition, the fun factor increases with the shared experience in deep snow. The following checklist helps with travel planning.

The helicopterski checklist contains the following questions:

-Is a ski pass available or needed
-Are accommodations booked and is the arrival times scheduled
-Is Catering provided during the activities
-The process on site clear
-Is Safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe and ABS backpack) available

Information about Covid-19

Dear friends and heliskiing fans,

all over the world the Corona situation is very tense and as we know the virus had spread rapidly also in Italy.

However, the good news is that heliskiing is possible at our spots and we are allowed to operate our tours there, even though some of the ski areas are still closed.

Your safety is important to us. That’s why we have prepared a comprehensive hygiene and safety concept.

The Italian government has initiated a variety of measures to prevent the further spread of the Corona virus.

What applies if you have booked a heliskiing tour with us and you are arriving from abroad?

Please read this short summary*:

Who is allowed to enter Italy?

  • The Italian government has grouped countries into several lists that have different restrictions.
  • Most of our guests come from countries that are listed in List C, This list includes, for example: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Sweden, and Luxembourg. Entry into Italy from these countries is generally possible.
An overview of all lists and the country classifications can be found

What do you have to consider when you arrive from a country that is listed in list C?

  1. Traveling to/from these countries is allowed without the need to certify the motivation for the trip.
  2. You must undergo a molecular or antigenic test, within 48 hours prior to entry.
  3. You have to fill-in and to carry the required self-declaration.
You can download the self-declaration here.
  4. The local health authority must be informed. about your stay. Please provide your arrival and departure times. We’ll be happy to inform the corresponding health authority of your stay.
Here you will find an overview of the contact details of the health authorities.
  5. Carry a facial mask with you when you leave your room / apartment

Self-isolation is not necessary as long as the Corona test is negative, and the above points are followed.

A summary of the requirements when arriving from a List C country can be found here.

What do the colors mean that the Italian regions are divided into?

  • Italy has divided its regions into colors, depending on the current corona situation. Yellow stands for a normal security risk, orange for a medium to high security risk and red for the highest security risk.
  • Currently we run our heliskiing tours in Aosta Valley (Courmayeur, etc.) and in the Lobardy (Madesimo, etc. exception: Livigno). Both regions have been classified as yellow zones.
A summary of the requirements when arriving from a List C country can be found here.
  • Currently we run our heliskiing tours in Aosta Valley (Courmayeur, etc.) only, which has been classified as an orange zone.

  • What does yellow zone mean?

    • Traveling from one region/community to another is only possible for urgent reasons evidenced by an internal self-declaration.

    • Heliskiing is possible within the region area.A detailed overview of the specifications in a yellow zone can be found here. What do you have to consider if you travel by car via Switzerland or Austria?

Since the regulations of the home countries, regions, residential districts, and cities are unfortunately not uniform, we would like to ask you to inform yourself if and which regulations apply when you return to your home country after your heliskiing tour.
