HELISKIING CORONA TIME UPDATE 12TH FEBRUARY

Dear friends and heliskiing fans,

all over the world the Corona situation is very tense and as we know the virus had spread rapidly also in Italy.

However, the good news is that heliskiing is possible at our spots and we are allowed to operate our tours there, even though some of the ski areas are still closed. Your safety is important to us. That is why we have prepared a comprehensive hygiene and safety concept.

The Italian government has initiated a variety of measures to prevent the further spread of the Corona virus.

What applies if you have booked a heliskiing tour with us and you are arriving from abroad?

Please read this short summary*:

Who can enter Italy?

What do you have to consider when you arrive from a country that is listed in list C?

  1. Traveling to/from these countries is allowed without the need to certify the motivation for the trip.
  2. You must undergo a molecular or antigenic test, within 48 hours prior to entry.
  3. You have to fill-in and to carry the required self-declaration. You can download the self-declaration here.

Here you will find an overview of the contact details of the health authorities.
  5. Carry a facial mask with you , wenn man sein Zimmer / when you leave your room / apartment

Self-isolation is not necessary if the Corona test is negative, and the above points are followed.

What do the colors mean that the Italian regions are divided into?

  • Italy has divided its regions into colors, depending on the current corona situation. Yellow stands for a normal security risk, orange  for a medium to high security risk and red for the highest security risk.
  • Currently we run our heliskiing tours in Aosta Valley (Courmayeur, etc.) and in the Lobardy (Madesimo, etc. exception: Livigno). Both regions have been classified as yellow zones.

An overview of the classification of regions and colors can be found here.Currently we run our heliskiing tours in Aosta Valley (Courmayeur, etc.) which has been classified as a orange zone.

What does yellow zone mean?

  • Curfew from 22:00 pm to 5:00 am.
  • Traveling from one region/community to another is only possible for urgent reasons evidenced by an internal self-declaration.
  • In restaurants, pizzerias, bars, and from catering providers you can consume food and drinks from 5:00 am – 18:00 pm. Take Away is allowed until 22:00 pm, delivery services are unlimited available.
  • Heliskiing is possible within the region area.A detailed overview of the specifications in a yellow zone can be found here.

What do you have to consider if you travel by car via Switzerland or Austria?

* Despite the greatest possible care, we cannot guarantee the listed points above. Please get additional information from other sources.

Since the regulations of the home countries, regions, residential districts, and cities are unfortunately not uniform, we would like to ask you to inform yourself if and which regulations apply when you return to your home country after your heliskiing tour.

We are happy to help for further assistance.
