We recommend to take out travel cancellation, curtailment and baggage insurance. Depending on the credit card, a travel insurance is included. Payments with credit card are accepted, which ensures you an insurance at the same time.

Cancellation fees during a booking emerge due to reservation fees, booking fees and others. The fee rises, the closer the event gets. Therefore, we recommend purchasing a cancellation insurance, trip interruption insurance and baggage insurance. Depending on the credit card, a travel insurance is included. Payments with credit card are accepted, which ensures you an insurance at the same time.

In addition, we recommend purchasing a travel health insurance that covers the cost of an emergency health evacuation. If you suffer an injury and need to be flown into a hospital or to other places, the costs of the flight will be billed to your account.

For guests from Germany we recommend for example: Europäische Reiseversicherung

Clients may cancel their participation in tours, trips, etc. at any time before departure. In your own interest and for verification purposes the cancellation should be made in writing. The cancellation becomes valid on the day of arrival at the HELI-GUIDES AG. In case of a client-side withdrawal, the HELI-GUIDES AG can charge the percentile compensation referred to in 10.1, based on the travel price, instead of calculating the precise withdrawal compensation. If the HELI-GUIDES AG is relieved from claims by third parties in whole or in part (credits for unused hotel facilities, commissions for agency services, ski passes, flight tickets etc.), this amount shall be deducted from the travel price upon which the compensation is based.

In case of a client-side withdrawal up to 60 days prior to departure we charge 10% of the travel price as cancellation and service fee. For cancellations at a later point in time we charge the following compensations:

– up to 40 days prior to departure: 30% (of the travel price)
– up to 30 days prior to departure: 50% (of the travel price)
– up to 8 days prior to departure: 75% (of the travel price)
– from the 7th day prior to departure: 100% (of the travel price)

Curtailment of travel and return trip

If a participant prematurely interrupts the trip, there will be no reimbursement for services not received. Additional travel costs shall be borne by the participant.

All Expense Tours, Charter and Scheduled Flights

If the HELI-GUIDES AG has arranged an all expense tour, a charter or scheduled flight at a lump sum, special rate or special conditions, we also have to charge the cancellation fees of the respective tour operator and airline plus a handling fee, which we will make available for clients on request. The claims for compensation of costs may amount to 100% of the flight costs.

Cancellation of the contract by the HELI-GUIDES AG

If a trip/event/activity is cancelled by the organizer – even on short notice – due to force majeure, as war, unrest, epidemics, flight cancellations, strikes, sovereign regulations, natural disasters or legitimate reasons of security of any kind, the participant is eligible for a reimbursement of the amount already paid by him/her. If these circumstances occur before the departure, we reserve the right to charge the participant potential additional costs, for instance insurances concluded, visa fees, etc. Further claims are excluded. In case of a withdrawal of the organizer, the conditions of the airline apply and there are no compensations for booked flights.

Information about Covid-19

Dear friends and heliskiing fans,

all over the world the Corona situation is very tense and as we know the virus had spread rapidly also in Italy.

However, the good news is that heliskiing is possible at our spots and we are allowed to operate our tours there, even though some of the ski areas are still closed.

Your safety is important to us. That’s why we have prepared a comprehensive hygiene and safety concept.

The Italian government has initiated a variety of measures to prevent the further spread of the Corona virus.

What applies if you have booked a heliskiing tour with us and you are arriving from abroad?

Please read this short summary*:

Who is allowed to enter Italy?

  • The Italian government has grouped countries into several lists that have different restrictions.
  • Most of our guests come from countries that are listed in List C, This list includes, for example: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Sweden, and Luxembourg. Entry into Italy from these countries is generally possible.
An overview of all lists and the country classifications can be found

What do you have to consider when you arrive from a country that is listed in list C?

  1. Traveling to/from these countries is allowed without the need to certify the motivation for the trip.
  2. You must undergo a molecular or antigenic test, within 48 hours prior to entry.
  3. You have to fill-in and to carry the required self-declaration.
You can download the self-declaration here.
  4. The local health authority must be informed. about your stay. Please provide your arrival and departure times. We’ll be happy to inform the corresponding health authority of your stay.
Here you will find an overview of the contact details of the health authorities.
  5. Carry a facial mask with you when you leave your room / apartment

Self-isolation is not necessary as long as the Corona test is negative, and the above points are followed.

A summary of the requirements when arriving from a List C country can be found here.

What do the colors mean that the Italian regions are divided into?

  • Italy has divided its regions into colors, depending on the current corona situation. Yellow stands for a normal security risk, orange for a medium to high security risk and red for the highest security risk.
  • Currently we run our heliskiing tours in Aosta Valley (Courmayeur, etc.) and in the Lobardy (Madesimo, etc. exception: Livigno). Both regions have been classified as yellow zones.

Since the regulations of the home countries, regions, residential districts, and cities are unfortunately not uniform, we would like to ask you to inform yourself if and which regulations apply when you return to your home country after your heliskiing tour.
